I recently received a printed copy of The Therapist's Notebook for Teletherapy with Children and Adolescents with my chapter Cameras Off: Gender Dysphoria in Teletherapy in it.

My chapter discussed the reality that trans and gender diverse youth experiencing gender dysphoria may feel hesitant about teletherapy due to concerns about how they look or sound on screen. I discussed ways that therapists can reduce anxiety by offering options around camera use and voice participation, giving clients greater control over their physical and vocal visibility and creating a more comfortable, affirming space for engagement.
